Lidhs Tooling is a tool manufacturer with extensive experience. Our story starts in 1969, when Bertil Lidh founded the company in Dalstorp. Fifty plus years later, and we’re still here! We manufacture tools for the manufacturing engineering industry, which means that we have a broad customer base within Swedish industry. Examples of our customers include companies in the furniture industry, the automotive industry and the white goods industry.
We have always worked with tool manufacturing at Lidhs, but the process has changed over the years. When the company was founded, the designers drew on drawing boards, and to get the punches right, they had to be filed by hand. New machines and techniques have come along over the years which have made for more efficient and accurate tool manufacturing. The computer has replaced the drawing board, and we have become experts in simulation. We simulate all tools before production for greater efficiency and sustainability in the manufacturing process.
We have continued to grow from day one, and today, we are the leading tool manufacturer in Northern Europe. However, our story has only just begun; the tool industry is an industry of the future, and at Lidhs Tooling we’re future-ready!
