At Lidhs Tooling, we were ahead of the game in acquiring state-of-the-art machinery and becoming digitised. In 1973, we acquired an erosion machine – a machine that was highly advanced at the time. A few years later, the first EDM was purchased, and in 1981 the first straight line CNC milling machine was installed.
Today, we design and simulate tools fully digitally and we use intelligent machining in production. We have a state-of-the-art machinery pool that is used to make parts and components for the tools. The machinery pool comprises, among other things, EDMs, CNC milling machines, grinding machines and measuring machines.
Being digitised and working with intelligent machining is a matter of course because it has made our tool manufacturing more efficient and saved on resources. For us to contribute to a more sustainable Swedish industry, every part of production needs to be reviewed. And saving on resources is an important step in the development. Working with intelligent machining also makes for a more cost-effective process, which benefits you as a customer.
